About us

Welcome to PlanetsOfSnapchat.com.

We are a small team that spends its time figuring out how Snapchat really works, then explaining it in plain words. Our main focus is the Snapchat Planets system, the feature in Snapchat+ that shows your best friends as planets, but we also cover best friend ranking, emojis, streaks, scores, and common Snapchat problems.

What You Will Find Here

What Snapchat Planets are and what each planet means. How the best friends list and ranking actually work. What Snapchat+ includes and whether it is worth it. Simple fixes for everyday Snapchat issues. Clear answers to the questions people search for most.

If you have ever opened Snapchat, seen something new, and wondered what it means, this site is for you.

How We Work

We do three things before we publish anything:

1. Research. We read Snapchat’s own help pages and watch how features behave across updates.

2. Test. We check features on real devices ourselves whenever we can.

3. Update. Snapchat changes often. When a feature changes, we go back and fix the article.

We do not publish rumors as facts. If Snapchat has not confirmed something, we say so plainly.

A Note on Affiliation

We are not affiliated with Snapchat or Snap Inc. This is an independent website made for educational purposes. Snapchat, Snapchat+, and related names and images belong to Snap Inc. and are mentioned here only to explain the features.
